In less than a week’s time, voting will close for Battle of the Kings III – Europe’s biggest dealer-led customisation build-off competition. Tuesday 14 February, Valentine’s Day 2017, will be the last day for fans of Belfast Harley-Davidson and customisation to vote for ‘Hard Knox’, our unique Battle of the Kings machine that could represent the UK in a battle royal between fellow competitors from Europe, Middle East, Russia and Africa.
220 Harley-Davidson® dealerships from 21 countries – including 31 across the UK and Ireland – are competing to take the Battle of the Kings 2017 crown with their individual Dark Custom builds. All 220 of this year’s entries can be found on the dedicated website – www.h-d.com/battleofthekings.
Now in its third year, Battle of the Kings has opened the eyes of many Harley-Davidson owners and admirers to the world of affordable customisation. The Battle of the Kings website also includes a gallery packed with images from the first two years of the competition plus a hub of ‘custom inspiration’ to help riders create their own unique machine with Belfast Harley-Davidson and our in-house ‘Custom King’.
You can vote online for our Battle of the Kings 2017 entry to create a shortlist for each region or country. Judging of the UK’s online-voted top five machines will take place at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show (17-19 February) by a select panel of judges consisting of personalities and specialist lifestyle and media outlets and include:
Gary Pinchin – Editor Classic Bike, and Built magazine
Ped Baker – MCN Managing Editor Digital & Events,
Grayson Perry – artist, TV presenter and cultural icon
Jamie Hibbard – journalist, motoring correspondent, and Harley-Davidson ambassador
Richie Finney – founder of gentleman’s grooming specialist Captain Fawcett
Mikko Nieminen – Motorcycle Sport & Leisure magazine
It will be the judges’ decision to determine which one Battle of the Kings bike and Custom King bike builder will be entered into a grand finale to decide the overall Battle of the Kings 2017 champion at Milan’s prestigious EICMA motorcycle exhibition in November 2017. We want it to be Belfast Harley-Davidson and you can help.
